Special Educational Needs (SEN)
We are fully aware of every child, especially those with Special Educational Needs (SEN)Ā and this is reflected in our appraisal towards grading. A child with any disability may take longer to achieve some of the basic skills. Working with children for over twenty years has shown me that children really do benefit from this type of training. Again I cannot stress enough that patience is requiredfrom the child and the parents.
Concentration in some children has first to come to fruition before Martial Art skills can be learnt. With Karate training, your child will learn how to focus attention on the technical skills required thus promoting the important ingredient of concentration. Without concentration nothing can be achieved in either Karate training or any other skill based activity, especially at school.Ā SEN children undertake in their training to reinforce their ability to master the art of concentration; this is what the Martial Arts are really about. Motor skills, balance and coordination are the foundation of Martial Arts techniques; this is where this type of training really helps the child in question.
